Baby Name Frames!

Hey there!  Hope you are having a great day!

Today I have a couple of frames for a couple of newborn baby girls.  No, they are not twins, but they are born into the same family, within a week of each other.

I believe that names have meanings.  That being said, it is very important that you know the meaning of a name, before naming a child.  That is what you will be calling them, every time you call their name.

I made them very similar, but not exact.  I took an inexpensive frame and painted it.  Then I just printed off the information on a card and decorated as I wanted. 😊

I used my Cricut  Explore & Design space to make the flowers and the matting  in the frame.

Hope you are inspired to do something like this!  Have a beautiful day!

Blessings,

Boat Wedding!

Well hello there!  Today, I have a wedding card for a couple, who gets married on a boat.  Not a bad way to get married, right?

There are a few different elements from a few different Cartridges on this one.  They are as follows:
The bride & groom are from the CTMH Artiste Cartridge.
The boat & water are from the Stand and Salute Cartridge.
The cattail border is from the Paper Dolls Everyday Cartridge.
The smaller trees are from the Heritage Cartridge.
The larger, darker tree is from the Botanicals Cartridge

As you can see, I used a blue background for the sky and piled everything else on top of that.  First I attached the large dark tree and then the smaller, lighter trees.  After putting the boat together, I popped it up and then placed the bride and groom where I wanted them.  After that, I put in the cattails and the water on top of that.

This is a 5x7 card and as you can see, I left a space at the bottom for the sentiment. I also edged the entire card with a Color Box Cat's Eye ink pad - these are great for edging!

I hope this inspires you to make something beautiful and custom, for someone in your life!  Or, you could have me do it!😉
Thanks so much for stopping by & hope you have a beautiful day!

A Whoville Christmas...

Hi everyone!  Hope your Christmas shopping is going well - I just wanted to jump on here and tell you a little about a fun Christmas party my husband and I went to.  It was a Whoville Christmas Party... Now, when I heard the theme for this party, I knew I had to do something!  This kind of thing does not come around very often.  So, I got to work...

The sweater is from Goodwill and the skirt is from the Salvation Army.  Both were a cream color when I bought them.  I dyed both of them green - and starched the skirt (I might have ruined my iron 😏).  I also hung small ornaments from my skirt.  There were also a few in my hair!

I did not do my own hair and makeup!  That was done by a good friend of mine, Janine.  She does a fabulous job!  If you live near the Buffalo area in Minnesota, look her up at Salon 606 - She does hair, nails and makeup.

Janine also did my husbands hair and "makeup"😄!  He was such a trooper, he decided to grow his hair out for the occasion.  Right after our son was in bed - He had me shave it off!  He actually shaved his facial hair off as well.  He made a great Mayor of Whoville!!!

The party was for the Marriage Matters Group at our church.  It was a really fun night!  It did, however, take more time for us to get ready for the party, than the party lasted 😊.

This is a shot of us after we got home.  See how tired he looks?! 😫

Yes, I am the one who wants to take all the pictures - He was kind enough to oblige me 😃.
I also promised my son that he could have the little bulbs off my skirt when we got home... Here he is, doing just that!

Oh!  Here is the dessert I made for the party.  It was supposed to be an appetizer, but I don't do appetizers, I do desserts!

I had to show you some sort of paper craft!  😉 The sign, is so people knew what it was.  When you go to a pot-luck and you don't know what something is...who wants to chance it?  Not me!

I made the candies and candy cane with my Cricut Explore and Design Space with the Simply Charmed and Christmas Cheer cartridges.

Hope you enjoyed it!  Have a very blessed Christmas!!!

Nurse - Thank You!

Hi there!  Today I have another card made for a client.  This is similar to one I made, for the same client, but for a different nurse!  The heart of this particular client is so big 💗-  it is a pleasure to make cards for them!  Anyway, here is the card...

At first, I was a little concerned about how to make the hair, for the lovely blonde the card is for.  However, I think it turned out great!  The client was more than happy with it -that is really all that matters, isn't it!

Here are a few things I used to make this card...
Cricut Design Space
Cricut Explore
Tape Glider
Pop-Ups
Everyday Paper Dolls

It is such a blessing to do this for people!  Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving! - Caramel Corn Basket

** I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This is one of my favorite holidays!  It may be, because I want to keep a thankful attitude all the time.  Unfortunately, that isn't always the case😏, but it is a goal of mine.

Today's project is a fun one!  This is ONE of the things that I will be bringing to Thanksgiving this year. (I will also be bringing - Pumpkin Cheesecake Muffins! 😋)  I made homemade caramel corn and put them in individual 5x7 cellophane bags.  Then I made this simple bag topper!

There are 11 people that I made bags for.  My family does not get any! 😞 That is okay - we can have the muffins! 😃

So, down to business!  What did I use to make these, you ask?  I will tell you!  I used my Cricut Explore and Design Space.  I also used the Thanksgiving Cartridge and Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue.  To make the edges a little nicer on the bottom of the toppers, I used my Carl Trimmer with the Colonial(B-09) blade.

I hope you have a beautiful Thanksgiving!  Let's remember to be thankful for ALL our family members! 😉

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a blessed day!

Nurse - We will miss you!

Hello there!  Hope you are having a fabulous day!  Let's see what we have today -

This was made for a client.  A wonderful young lady, who has a beautiful little girl with special needs.  They have nurses that help out and one of them was moving to another state, so she wanted to give her a special card.  This is what I came up with...

** I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.
This particular nurse likes photography and sewing, that is why the spool of yarn and camera are in her hands!  This really is my favorite thing to create - Custom cards and gifts, from the heart of one person to another.

Here is what I used to create this card...
CTMH - Artbooking

Hope you enjoyed it!  Have a blessed day!
