Hawaiian Butterfly - Birthday!

** I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.
Today's project is a special one to me.  This was made for a friend of mine who has lost her husband and her father, all within a few months.  This particular friend, has been a blessing to me all the years I have known her.  She is a wonderful gift from God.

Her husband was from Hawaii.  So when coming up with a card for her, I wanted it to be peaceful and memorable.  Butterflies are a sign of new life - (That is exactly what she is moving into, a new life).  I researched Hawaiian butterflies and found out about this beautiful black and white monarch.  I thought it would be perfect!

In times of sadness or hurt with people, I seem to do better with a card then in person.  People could perceive me as cold or not caring, because I don't quite know what to do or say.  I am working at being better at consoling people, or knowing what to say during difficult times.  It isn't something that comes naturally to me.

I hope you enjoyed it.  Here is what I used... My Cricut Explore, Design Space and Everyday Pop Up Cards.  I also used my Tape Glider and Pop-Ups.

Have a terrific day!  God bless you!

Lil' Monster - 2nd Birthay Card!

** I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.
Hope you are having a wonderful day!  It is very close to Thanksgiving, are you ready for it? 😋

This post isn't about Thanksgiving, at least not in the traditional sense.  I am thankful for my Nephew - it is his 2nd birthday today!  When the idea, of this card came to me, I got a big smile on my face! 😃

I am actually not into monsters for children.  Actually, I am not into monsters for anyone.  However, for his first birthday, they threw a little monster party.  So for them, I thought it might be okay.

What I did...
I made a square white card, placed black paper down.  I cut the two out of the orange cardstock with my Cricut Explore.  Then I cut out the monster (B is for Boy).  I intertwined the monster and the 2 (Cricut Alphabet), then popped up the orange with the monster.  I took these fun little colored google eyes for his eyes.

I like how it turned out!  I know he really won't, but that is okay! 😃  I hope you enjoyed it though!

Have a blessed day!

Card - Gift Set

** I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.
Hope your day is going beautifully!  Today, I have a card set that I gave a friend for her birthday.  She is a very classy lady, so that is why the fluer-de-lis and the darker colors. (It is totally her!)

I used vellum to make the box to hold the cards.

I used the sentiment "blessings to you" so they could be used for any occasion.

I used my Cricut Explore and Design Space to make the fluer-de-lis.  The cartridge that was used is French Manor!  A very elegant cartridge.  It is also available with Cricut Access!

Thanks for stopping by!

Minnesota Twins - 6x6 Birthday!

Well, hello there! Hope you are having a fantastic day! Now, this was a fun card to make - a lot of work, but fun!

I made this for a client.  They wanted a card for the CFO of the company - something that was all him.  They gave me a few ideas of what he likes and I ended up with this...

I myself, am not a huge baseball fan.  But, he is!!!

What I did to make this is use Cricut Design Space and my Cricut Explore!  For the baseball and bat, I used the Sports Mania Carrtridge.  For the bat, I used a ColorBox cats eye inkpad, hand drew the lines and colored the "twins" in with Spectum Noir alcohol inks (Dr4).  Other than that, just the regular Foam Squares and Tape Runner I use for everything!

Let me tell you something fun - A little bragging I guess :)  The CFO actually emailed me!  This is part of what he wrote "fabulous work and it made the board in my office with other special memories."  I tell you what, things like this, is why I love what I do!

Hope you enjoyed it!  Thanks for stopping!

Asian Dragonfly - Birthday!

** I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links
Hi there!
Today, I have a card for one of my best friends!
She is such a blessing to my life.  I recently found out that she likes dragonfly's, so here we go...

I  used my Cricut, to cut the dragonfly's, out of the cardstock.  I cut that to fit my card.  Then I took 3D Foam Squares, to pop up that whole front piece.  I also embossed the sentiment - using VersaMark, Crimson Red powder and my heating tool.  I am still getting the hang of embossing!  :)

Hope you have a great day!
