Hawaiian Butterfly - Birthday!

Today's project is a special one to me.  This was made for a friend of mine who has lost her husband and her father, all within a few months.  This particular friend, has been a blessing to me all the years I have known her.  She is a wonderful gift from God.

 Her husband was from Hawaii.  So when coming up with a card for her, I wanted it to be peaceful and memorable.  Butterflies are a sign of new life - (That is exactly what she is moving into, a new life).  I researched Hawaiian butterflies and found out about this beautiful black and white monarch.  I thought it would be perfect!

In times of sadness or hurt with people, I seem to do better with a card then in person.  People could perceive me as cold or not caring, because I don't quite know what to do or say.  I am working at being better at consoling people, or knowing what to say during difficult times.  It isn't something that comes naturally to me.

Hi!  Hope you are having a wonderful day!  Here is a fun card, that was made this for a client.  She had this great idea, I think anyway, to leave a card for the people who just purchased their home.  Isn't that sweet!  Apparently, she has done this in the past, when they've sold their home.  I thought it was awesome!  This is what I came up with...

I made it an easel card, so she could just set it on the counter, for them to see as they walked in.

Today, I have a fun card, for a beautiful young lady.  She moved out on her own.  Now, my son is three, so for me, this won't happen for a while.  But, I can only imagine the mixed emotions, of a child moving out.

So, I used glitter paper with a Foliage Embossing Folder.  It turned out better than I thought it would.  Sometimes, you just have to go for it.  :)

We've Moved - House

Hi there!  So, here is the "We've Moved" card I was talking about.

I used the Everyday Pop-up Cards Cartridge, for the house.  Took 3D Pop-Up Squares, to lift it up a bit off the stamped trees.  As you know, I always use my Explore machine and Design Space for making everything!
